Sharon has extensive experience both at the bedside and in various leadership positions during her nursing career. In 2018 she was promoted to Assistant Chief Nursing Officer also at Brandon. Her decision to become a nurse was based on a calling and fulfilling her purpose in life. In 2019 she joined River Oaks Treatment Center as the Director of Nursing.

Sharon gets great satisfaction from coaching and mentoring new nurses and nurse leaders, which in turn contributes to the growth of both the nursing and healthcare profession.

She loves listening to audible books, singing, traveling, and spending time with her family. Sharon has learned that no single approach is the right one when it comes to managing employees, patients, and their families, therefore keeping an open mind and treating each person as an individual is paramount.

Sharon’s educational background includes an MBA with a concentration in Health Service Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She has a bachelors degree in nursing from Florida International University in Miami, FL and is a Board Certified Nurse Executive and Board Certified Medical Surgical Nurse.
