Rehabilitation Telehealth Services at River Oaks Treatment Center
To provide care in a time when getting in-person treatment for a substance use disorder can be tricky, River Oaks Treatment Center has begun offering telehealth outpatient treatment services.
Telehealth allows healthcare professionals like doctors and therapists to provide care to you through a computer or phone in the comfort of your own home. For those suffering from a substance use disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic, this type of care can be key to sustained sobriety and recovery.
Previously, you’d have to attend outpatient treatment programs in person at our facility in Hollywood, Florida. Now you can access a slew of services through our telehealth offerings, including:
- Group and one-on-one therapy.
- Family sessions.
- Follow-up care.
COVID, quarantine, lockdown, and the uncertainty of what the future looks like for many people can and has led to new or escalating substance abuse for some and, for those in recovery, relapse. By accessing these services via telehealth, our patients can access the support they need without having to risk their health.
Telehealth at River Oaks: What to Expect
Although telehealth services have been around for a few years, this might be the first time you’re using them. Luckily, it’s a pretty simple process.
To access telehealth care through River Oaks, you’ll first talk to one of our Admissions Navigators and make sure that it’s the right facility for you. Don’t worry—if it doesn’t seem like a good fit, American Addiction Centers had other facilities throughout the U.S.
Once you and the Admissions Navigator decide on River Oaks, you’ll have to provide your consent to be treated remotely. Your medical information is safe with us, even with telehealth services. We use a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing service.
After we have your consent to begin telehealth treatment, you’ll receive a unique access code to our telehealth system, which you’ll use each time you log in for a therapy or treatment session. It’ll be easy to remember when your sessions are, too: We’ll send you an email with an invitation to join.
The services available through telehealth at River Oaks are led by the same people who provide therapy and medical expertise in our standard outpatient program. This means you’ll have access to the same high-quality, science-based approach that our in-person patients benefit from.
Are You Considering Treatment?
If you are considering treatment for a substance use disorder, don’t let COVID-19 get in the way. Give us a call at , and one of our knowledgeable and friendly Admissions Navigators will help get the ball rolling.
Our lives look a lot different during the pandemic, but your recovery doesn’t have to. We may not live the same way before COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean you have to put off addiction treatment. We’re here for you, whenever you’re ready for help.
