Telehealth Addiction Recovery Support

With more than 100,000 overdose deaths each year, our nation is still in the grip of an addiction crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty of what the future looks like has led to a marked increase in the number of people struggling with substance abuse. The need for accessible and effective treatment has never been more pronounced.

To address the growing need for alternative routes to care, River Oaks Treatment Center is proud to provide telehealth addiction treatment services, including a virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP). Sessions are held online Monday through Friday from 5 p.m.–8 p.m.

These services make it easier for people to access the same high-quality range of treatment options from our Tampa Bay addiction treatment center, while maintaining health and safety.

What Is Telehealth Addiction Treatment?

Telehealth services enable you to receive care from healthcare professionals like doctors and therapists via computer or phone — all from the comfort of your home. For individuals who are struggling with addiction during the COVID-19 pandemic, access to telehealth addiction treatment can be key to sustained sobriety and recovery.

Our telehealth services are led by some of the same addiction care experts that provide therapy and medical expertise in our Tampa metro area inpatient rehab program. This means you’ll be receiving the same evidence-based effective treatment that our in-person patients benefit from, including:

  • Group therapy.
  • Family therapy sessions.
  • One-on-one counseling.
  • Telehealth for rehab aftercare.

How to Use Telehealth Drug & Alcohol Rehab Services

When it’s time to get help for addiction, you may be wondering if telehealth rehab services are right for you. While these services have become more widely available — especially during the pandemic — this may be the first time you’re using them. Luckily, it’s a pretty simple process.

To start, you’ll speak to one of the knowledgeable admissions navigators at our Tampa addiction treatment center. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you have, including:

When you’ve decided that telehealth treatment is right for you, in order to begin using this service, you will have to provide your consent to be treated remotely through our HIPAA-compliant video conferencing service. Rest assured that your information is completely safe and secure.

Once we have your consent you will receive a unique access code that you’ll use to sign in to your telehealth appointment. We’ll also send you email reminders before each session to help you stay on track.
