Mental Health Program and Services
About Our Mental Health Services
River Oaks Mental Health Services: A Center for Healing & Wellness
The River Oaks Mental Health Services program is designed to meet the needs of patients with significant psychiatric symptoms that impair functioning independent of any substance use. Our mental health program serves to help them optimize their day-to-day functioning and prevent future crises.
River Oaks Mental Health Services: A Center for Healing & Wellness provides expert care and evidence-based treatment for a range of common mental health disorders. We understand how challenging it is to function and feel your best when struggling with a mental health disorder.
The goal of the program is to continue stabilizing a person’s condition while enabling them to develop the skills needed to manage their own condition in the future.
Our inpatient mental health treatment program provides compassionate, effective treatment for several mental health disorders, including:
- Anxiety disorders.
- Depression.
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
- Other mental health disorders on a case-by-case basis.
At River Oaks, we tailor each person’s mental health treatment plan to their individual needs. The therapist, nursing team, and psychiatrist collaborate with the patient to develop an appropriate treatment plan based on their diagnosis and assessment findings.
Upon admission to our inpatient mental health treatment program, the nursing team will conduct an initial assessment to determine the individual’s needs and goals. Our staff will also schedule a physical examination if the patient has not had one in the past 30 days.
A psychiatric evaluation will be performed within 48 hours of admission. When determining a medication treatment plan, the patient and mental health care providers collaborate.
When creating the patient’s treatment plan, the team of mental health professionals work with the patient to ensure the plan includes goals that are:
- Specific.
- Measurable.
- Achievable.
- Relevant.
- Time-bound.
During treatment planning, goal specifics include the actions needed to attain the defined goals.
Our mental health treatment program incorporates evidence-based interventions and therapies to address psychiatric symptoms and promote recovery. Throughout a person’s stay at River Oaks, the care team conducts regular reviews and updates of the treatment plan to ensure treatment is adjusted as a patient’s needs change.
While residing at our mental health treatment facility in Florida, our inpatient program provides a holistic and dynamic treatment environment that empowers individuals to build a foundation of safety, resilience, and emotional well-being, facilitating their journey toward lasting mental health recovery.
The mental health services and program offerings at the River Oaks Center for Healing & Wellness are comprehensive and customized to promote effective healing.
During mental health inpatient treatment, patients receive clinical and supportive services, enjoy recreational activities, and are involved in transition and discharge planning to ensure they continue receiving the support they need long after their time at River Oaks comes to an end.
While patients may participate in treatment for a longer period, the minimum length of stay at the River Oaks inpatient mental health treatment program is 30 days.
